This is the miniature form of the Ukrainian folk art that is gaining its popularity more and more with each year. It is mostly used as a decorative piece of art nowadays. Traditionally, the Easter Egg is considered a prayer in a way and was always gifted out as a blessing or wishes for a big happy family, sound health, long life and protection from evil.

To write Easter eggs for Easter and other life events in Ukrainian culture is an antique tradition that was almost vanished during the Soviet Union times.
